       BUSY BUT DISORIENTED AND DEPRESSED🤯🤯

ll mornings, the streets are ever busy with myriads all over, each trying to make to their workplaces. The offices, shops, open air spaces, markets and fields  they work in are used to the unending stuff that begin once the people have their step in them. It does not end here, as the multitudinous activities consume a greater deal of the days. In the evenings, the same people are ever busy as they return to their abodes, having toiled enough.


They cross paths with others reporting for the night shifts, since a 24- hour economy it is.  As if not enough, some spend the day in one job  and report for another job in the evening. After all, being busy is better than being idle or bored, and the most difficult task on earth is to do nothing.

Despite the hard work, the society is being tormented from all corners. Sixty years after independence, many Kenyans are still immersed in abject poverty, ignorance and disease.



Too ironical that the three biggest problems identified at independence have not been wholly eradicated. Concrete actions lead to conversion of dreams to reality, but despite the many actions at local, regional and national levels, the eradication remains a dream. 

While the capitalistic logic still holds, it is not logical to have a bigger proportion of the working population struggling even with the basic needs. Actually, the haves also cry. Could it mean that being busy does not always mean real work? Perhaps it’s so. I sympathize with inner self and many others who are always troubled by this phenomenon. What’d be the factors for such a conundrum? I’m sure you already have a list!


Some would talk of corruption, others would say governance issues, ethnicity, lack of empowerment etc. Also, some would say “We’re are the problem!”

Truly, there is a pool of blood hidden in the outwardly gratified faces and smiles. The grass is not always green, as it’s green only when watered. Without doubt, Kenya has incalculable human, technological, natural, information and financial resources.

Lots of analyses have been done and prompt considerations put in place to settle for Martha Karua, who as the descriptions by many is “The Iron-Lady”.                  THIS MAN GACHAGUA After the exhaustion of midnight oils and daytime’s grease, Rigathi Gachagua (current Mathira MP) is announced as Dr William Ruto’s running mate. It definitely is a triumphant moment for the Kenya Kwanza Alliance and many of their supporters. In the same light, the announcement could also have been an epitome of partial sobs of despair for those who had different expectations.
